PlotA widow, Sharda, with two sons, lives with a frail brother in a rundown mansion. The elder son, Gyan (Anil Kapoor), idolises his dead father; the younger son, Khushboo (Madhuri Dixit) is secretly in love with him. Gyan's mother is killed in an accident, leaving him devastated. He teams up with a man called Goyal (Jackie Shroff) and two rich businessmen to avenge his father's death. The evil businessman Malhotra (Raza Murad), also known as Dhiram, eventually murders Gyan's family and gives him a task. His goal is to get Gyan to kill someone else, so that he can use their bodies in a murder to be blamed on Gyan. Goyal teams up with Sharda to find her lost sons.
